These bars were produced in very low quantities sometime in the 1960s. They were the very first series of ingots produced under the Engelhard name. The way to identify 1st from 2nd series ingots is in the lack of the + infront of 999. The first series ingots are also a bit more crude in style and have an unfinished look on the face of the bar.
