This issue is ever-popular with collectors. It is scarce to relative rare, especially in higher grades. The "missing leg" was a result of an zealous mint worker over-polishing a worn die. The surprising thing is that many of these are actually well-struck coins, but missing the front leg, due to the over-polishing.
