Proof collectors are rare. Instead, coins like this one are often bought as a type coin - one example of the coin type (proof seated dollar) to represent the rest and stand alone in a collection. Sometimes, more than one is required (with motto or without motto, for example). Here's a high-grade "with motto" example. The mottos were added just after the civil war during a period of renewed religious fervor in the nation. This coin is an eye-catcher and the rich golden hues compliment the mostly white surfaces of this deep cameo example. With a mintage of only 600 coins, and very few cameos or deep cameos, finding comps for the year and exact grade is very difficult. Instead a better approach is to look at the type and find recent sales. For example, in February 2025 a darkly toned 1867 $1 Proof 64 Deep Cameo sold for $10,500 at Heritage auctions. A 1869 $1 PR64 DCAM CAC sold for $17,400.
