This is an early Draped Bust Dollar that is of the "small eagle reverse" category - a type that ran from 1795 to 1798. Everybody needs a small eagle type for their set and this coin has a perfect circ cameo look to it. Of the 1796 dollars, this "Large Date, Small Letters" seems to be the most scarce based on PCGS population reports.
